MP to introduce AI education plan for classes 8–12
Bhopal: Chief minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday directed officials to prepare a detailed action plan to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) skills into school education for students from classes 8 to 12.
Reviewing the School Education Department at Mantralaya, CM Yadav also proposed including the biography of Samrat Vikramaditya in the school curriculum and preparing an engaging book on the life of Guru Sandipani.
He instructed officials to complete the recruitment of guest teachers before July 1 and ensure all preparations for the new academic session are finished on time. He ordered immediate repairs of partially dilapidated school buildings and directed that boundary walls be constructed in all schools.
The CM also announced a ‘Shikshak Vandan Programme’ to be organised from July 1 to Guru Purnima on July 29 in the presence of parents and public representatives.
Emphasising vocational education, Yadav suggested introducing employment-oriented courses such as agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries in high schools and higher secondary schools. He also called for linking self-help groups with schools wherever possible.
Yadav directed officials to speed up efforts to integrate schools of all departments into a unified system. He also stressed promoting NCC and NSS activities in schools and providing facilities such as health check-ups, driving licence camps and coaching for competitive examinations.
He further instructed officials to track students after they complete Class 12 in govt schools to determine whether they pursue higher education, employment, agriculture, family business or skill training, saying the data would help create a government youth database.
