MP Man kills wife on diwali night, sleeps beside her body until arrest

BHOPAL: A man murdered his wife and remained asleep near her body until police arrested him. The incident was reported from Ashok Nagar’s Takneri village on Diwali night, where the accused, Kamal Singh, killed his wife, Kallo (38), by bludgeoning her with a brick.

The incident came to light the following morning when neighbours noticed that Kallo's door remained closed. Concerned, they alerted her relatives, who rushed to the house. Upon entering, they found Kallo's lifeless body lying near Kamal Singh, who was still asleep.

The deceased's sister-in-law, Kamala Bai, alleged that Kamal Singh was a chronic alcoholic and that frequent fights erupted between the couple due to his drinking habits. She claimed that he threatened to kill Kallo in the past.

Police investigations revealed that the couple had a heated argument on Diwali night, which escalated into violence. Kamal Singh allegedly used a brick to inflict fatal injuries on his wife. After the brutal act, he went back to sleep beside the body. The police arrested Kamal Singh and registered a case against him.
