Mother kills son, poisons daughter, and takes own life

BHOPAL: A woman killed her son and poisoned her daughter before committing suicide in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh.

An incident occurred in the Gadhakota police station area on Friday where Reena, wife of Devi Patel, strangled her 10-year-old son Neeraj Patel and poisoned her 1.5-year-old daughter Pari Patel before hanging herself.

All three were rushed to the hospital, but Reena and Neeraj succumbed to their injuries. Pari is currently in critical condition and receiving treatment at Bundelkhand Medical College in Sagar.

The motive behind the act remains unclear. The deceased's brother, Rahul Patel, has expressed suspicion of foul play and demanded a thorough investigation. Police are investigating the case and have registered a case. FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) teams are examining the crime scene to gather evidence.
