Bank employee duped of ₹54k in online fraud, says no OTP was shared

Bhopal: A Shahpura based bank employee was duped of Rs 54,500 by online fraudsters, the police said on Saturday.
Shahpura SHO Awadhesh Singh Bhadouria said that the complainant Rajnikant Mani, 36, a resident of Gulmohar Colony in Shahpura, is posted in a nationalised bank in Chhattisgarh. He stated in his complaint on February 14 that he received a message on his phone that Rs 54500 were deducted from his bank account. He did not transfer the money nor did he receive any OTP. He did not click on any phishing link nor shared his bank credentials with anybody but automatically the money was transferred from his bank account. Police have registered a case and investigations were on. TNN
