Another charge-sheet in Vyapam scam

BHOPAL

: The CBI on Monday filed the final supplementary charge-sheet in the “sub inspector, subedar, platoon commander” recruitment exam scam 2012, adding, one more person Harshwardhan Singh as an accused. Singh was summoned by the CBI special court on Monday, but he didn’t turn up following which special CBI judge Ajay Shrivastava issued an arrest warrant against him.

With Singh’s inclusion, the total number of accused in the case has gone up to 34. Special Task Force (STF), which probed the Vyapam scam earlier, has already filed four charge-sheets in the case against 33 persons.

The 34 accused in the case include 17 candidates including Harshwardhan Singh, 13 middlemen including mining baron Sudhir Sharma and proprietor of a chain of engineering colleges,

and four Vyapam officials including its then director Pankaj Trivedi, principal system analyst, Nitin Mahindra, senior system analyst Ajay Sen and assistant programmer/system analyst Chandrakant Mishra.
