BHOPAL: Four more deaths of malnourished children have been reported from Rewa district. Three of them are girls and the latest was on Tuesday.
During the last three months, four severely malnourished children died in Dabhoura Basti of Jawa block, about 70 km from Rewa. All of them were children of Kol tribals, inhabitants of Rewa and
Satna
in Vindhya region. CMHO SK

confirmed the deaths.
Talking to TOI, he said, "Fifteen severely malnourished children are also admitted at nutritious rehabilitation centres of Tyothar and Rewa district hospital."

Madhya Pradesh
. He has been active in Rewa's Daboura Basti for past few months. "All the four children who died in Dabhoura had also been admitted at the nutritious rehabilitation centre of district hospital of Rewa," he said.
"No food was cooked at Anganwadi Number 1 of Dabhoura Basti in May, June and July. The food was cooked only for 10 days in August and 16 days in September. Food has not been cooked till now in October," said Ram Narayan Yadav of Samaj Adhikar Chetna Manch. A number of deaths related to malnourishment were reported from
Sheopur
last month.
Health minister Rustam Singh had admitted to 8 to 10 deaths between March and September. CMHO Dr RP Saral was removed last week because of deaths related to malnourishment in the district.
