Bhopal: An 8-year-old girl who was knocked down by an unidentified speeding car in Eintkhedi locality around a fortnight back, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital on Sunday.
Her father and younger sister, 6, are undergoing treatment at the hospital and are in critical condition, said Eintkhedi police who had registered a case and are trying to identify the errant vehicle.
Investigation officer ASI Rajesh Dubey said that Abdul Nasir Khan, 50, a resident of Arvalia village in Eintkhedi, is a farmer.
He along with his two daughters, the deceased Sadaf, 8, and Samaira, 6, had gone to attend a marriage function in Eintkhedi.
On their way back home, a speeding unidentified car going towards Lambakheda had hit their bike and fled the spot. The trio sustained severe injuries and were undergoing treatment where Sadaf died while undergoing treatment on Sunday while Nasir and his younger daughter Samaira are undergoing treatment.
