INDORE: Ambulance service of 108, which is currently operational in 10 districts of state, will be started all over the state. Public Health and Family Welfare Dr Narottam Mishra has announced to start the services in each and every district of the state.
He appreciated the work done by the institution and has expressed his concern over increasing the salary of employees working for public health care.

He said that 108 service has helped several people in emergency situation and has saved thousands of lives. He highlighted the fact that state government has formulated various plans and project for welfare of common people.
The 108 ambulance service was started in July 2009 and it is operation in districts including Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Indore, Sagar, Rewa, Datia, Damoh, Sehore and Hoshangabad. In past three years, nearly 3.60 lakh cases were attended by the ambulance service out of which 1.41 lakh were pregnancy related cases and over 62,000 cases were related to road accidents. To appreciate the work of the employees, Dr Mishra felicitated Prateek Gupta, Jaipal Singh Baghel, Anand Vishwakarma, Ramvati Yadav, Suryakant Pandey and Sanyam Mishra.
The 108 service is currently operation in 10 states, informed GVK EMRI CEO Subodh Satyavadi. “Neo-natal ambulance is introduced for the first time in Madhya Pradesh,” he said.
