elections in Karnataka under his leadership, reports Anil Gejji. Veterans Ramalinga Reddy, Roshan Baig and HK Patil have slammed Siddaramaiah for wooing rebel MLAs and neglecting senior leaders in the party.


A decade after he joined Congress, the Kuruba leader faces his toughest political challenge yet.

The Congress Legislature Party leader will have to quell the rising rebellion within his party and silence his critics in ally JD(S) who single him out as the "biggest hindrance"to the coalition government headed by HD Kumaraswamy.

Sources said more leaders are likely to join the anti-Siddaramaiah bandwagon soon. Many legislators and party functionaries claim his vitriolic attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi led to the party's debacle in the polls. Senior Congress leaders say the high command, which had given him a long rope, is almost certain to take action now.
