Pavithra Gowda and Darshan: A pictorial journey of rising stardom in Sandalwood

Pavithra Gowda, who identifies herself as a "fashion designer, model, artist, and managing director of a boutique," gained fame in Sandalwood due to her close association with Darshan, who is popularly known as the "Challenging Star" by his fans.

She had her portfolio created by a well-known film photographer and shared it around. However, since no offers came, she ended up marrying a man named Sanjay. They had a daughter but later, separated. The old portfolio, which was still being circulated, eventually helped her land a role in the 2013 movie ‘Chatrigalu Saar Chatrigalu’.

Pavithra is known as Darshan's close friend, long-time companion, and even partner. However, Darshan has been married to Vijaya Lakshmi for over 20 years.

Darshan's family dynamics shifted, and his differences with his wife Vijayalakshmi became public. During this time, Pavithra offered him emotional support, leading to their close relationship," said an industry insider. Consequently, Pavithra set aside her Sandalwood aspirations to pursue a career as a fashion designer while prioritizing her daughter

Actor Darshan was arrested on Tuesday for the murder of a man who sent obscene texts to his co-star. This isn't his first run-in with the law. In 2011, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Vijayalakshmi, and charged with attempted murder and domestic violence. In November 2023, his men reportedly unleashed dogs on a lawyer over a parking dispute near his RR Nagar home.

Pavithra's involvement in the case: Investigators stated that the victim, Renukaswamy (33), harassed her with insulting messages and explicit photos, targeting her relationship with the married actor. He also allegedly sent her obscene messages on social media, which is being considered a possible trigger for the suspected murder.
