Bengaluru man secretly films apartment resident while she was bathing
BENGALURU: A 28-year-old woman staying in an apartment alleged that an unidentified man secretly recorded her while she was bathing in her bathroom on May 31.
The Green Glen Layout resident said the incident occurred around 8.15 pm when she was taking bath. She was shocked to notice a mobile phone near the bathroom window being used to record the video.
She told police the phone was sea-green in colour and featured a dual-camera setup. She said the suspect was wearing a grey T-shirt.
Realising she was being filmed, the woman raised the alarm. The accused, however, fled the spot before he was identified.
A case has been registered under Section 66E of Information Technology Act (punishment for violation of privacy) and Section 77 (voyeurism) of BNS.
A senior police officer said CCTV cameras of the building and surrounding areas are being verified to ascertain clues.
