Lamborghini performs dangerous drifting stunt in Bengaluru; driver booked
BENGALURU: Acting suo motu on a social media video, traffic police have booked the driver of a white Lamborghini for dangerously performing a drifting stunt near Anil Kumble Circle on the newly asphalted MG Road between 2am and 3am Saturday.
The viral video, recorded by a commuter and tagging city police, shows the sports car zooming towards MG Road direction from Chinnaswamy Stadium, applying sudden brakes on reaching the middle of the traffic junction, performing the drift stunt before speeding away back in the stadium's direction.
The driver has been booked under BNS Section 281 (rash or negligent driving/riding on a public way that endangers human life or safety).
According to the FIR, the licence plate of the luxury sports car was KA 05-NR-0009. DCP (in-charge), west traffic division, Sahil Bagla, said: "We will not tolerate such behaviour on city roads. We will trace the owner and the person who performed the dangerous stunt and initiate strict legal action against them."
