Karnataka: 3 students die in car-truck crash

BENGALURU: Three college students died and one sustained serious injuries on Thursday after their sedan crossed the median and rammed a truck coming from the opposite direction on

Nelamangala-Kunigal

highway.


The victims are

Purushotham

, 21,

Naveen N

, 19, Chandu, 19, all residents of

Nelamangala

. The injured is Aditya, 19.

The four were on their way to

Tippenahalli village

near Magadi to attend a funeral of their friend’s grandmother when the accident occurred at 11am. Police said Purushotham was driving and Naveen was sitting next to him.

Purushotham was speeding and lost control of the vehicle; he crashed into the median and entered the other side of the highway and rammed a LPG cylinder-laden truck.
