BENGALURU: A couple from Kerala, identified as Vinod Babusenan (43) and Zubi Abraham (38), allegedly killed their 11-year-old daughter before dying by suicide at a resort in Karnataka's Kodagu area, police said on Sunday.
The bodies were discovered in the resort room in Kaggodlu village. A suicide note found at the scene pointed to financial troubles as the motive for their drastic actions.
The family had checked into the resort on Friday evening, informing the staff that they would check out at 10 am the next day.
When the couple didn't follow through with their checkout, the staff became concerned. After attempts to contact them failed, the staff discovered the tragic scene upon peering through the window.
The police were alerted, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem. Relatives have been notified about the incident.
