City set to host World Coffee Conference in September

Bengaluru: The fifth World Coffee Conference (WCC) will be organised in Bengaluru from September 25 to 28 by International Coffee Organisation (ICO) in collaboration with the Coffee Board of India, the Centre, and state government.
The conference will be held at Bangalore Palace and delegates from over 80 countries are expected to participate. Tennis player Rohan Bopanna will be the brand ambassador of WCC-2023. Coffee Board of India CEO KG Jagadeesha said the event will promote coffees of India at the global stage and will create new opportunities and markets for coffee growers. State principal secretary (commerce and industries) S Selvakumar said: “There is tremendous opportunity for investments across the coffee value chain, including equipment, coffee machines, soluble coffee brands as well as cafe chains.” tnn
