“The dream of the people of South Bengaluru comes true,” said Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, who travelled on the Yellow Line ahead of its inauguration to inspect the work and preparations.
Big gains for daily commuters
With 16 stations, the line is expected to serve up to 8 lakh riders per day and significantly cut travel times between home and workplace.
Phase 3 on the horizon
Alongside the Yellow Line launch, groundwork begins for Namma Metro Phase 3 — a 44.65-km expansion aimed at reshaping Bengaluru’s transit future.
