CHIKKABALLAPURA: Four college students lost their lives in a car accident, where their vehicle allegedly toppled and fell into a ditch near a highway underpass on the outskirts of Chikkaballapura of Karnataka, police said on Sunday.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday night as the students were en route from Bengaluru to Chikkaballapura to drop off two of their companions. According to authorities, one of the students was behind the wheel.
The fatal crash occured when the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle, causing it to overturn and plunge into the ditch. Regrettably, three individuals lost their lives at the scene.
A fourth person sustained severe injuries and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, the individual succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
