23 Karnataka firefighters & cops to get President’s Medal

Bengaluru: On the occasion of Republic Day, 23 police personnel and firefighters from Karnataka will be conferred with President's Medal for their service.
Among the distinguished service awardees are Basavaraj Sharanappa Zille, DIGP, KSRP, Bengaluru, and Hamja Hussain, commandant, 12th Battalion, KSRP, Tumakuru. They have been recognised for exceptional contributions to the state's law enforcement.
Meritorious service medals have been awarded to Renuka K Sukumar, DCRE, Bengaluru; Sanjeev M Patil, AIGP, general, chief office, Bengaluru; BM Prasad, commandant, IRB, Munirabad, Koppal; Veerendra Naik N, 11th Bn, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Hassan; Gopal D Jogin, CCB, Bengaluru; Gopalkrishna B Goudar, Chikkodi; H Gurubasavaraj, Karnataka Lokayukta; Jayaraj H, inspector, Govindapura police station, Bengaluru; Pradeep BR, inspector, Holenarasipura; Mohammed Mukarram, inspector, CCB, Bengaluru; Vasantha Kumara MA, inspector, bureau of immigration, Bengaluru; Manjunath VG, ASI, cybercrime police division, CID, Bengaluru; Althaf Hussain N Dhakani, ASI, Wilson Garden police station, Bengaluru; Balendran C, KSRP, Bengaluru; Arunkumar CHC, Kalaburagi; Nayaz Anjum, Chikkamagaluru; Shrinivasa M, DCP office, west division, Bengaluru; Ashraf PM, senior intelligence assistant, state intelligence; and Shivananda B, Kundapura police station.
Fire and emergency officials have also been recognised. The distinguished medal goes to Yunus Ali Kausar, deputy director (fire prevention), and meritorious medal to Thippeswamy G, deputy director (administration).
