Bareilly: Union health minister
JP Nadda on Saturday attended the convocation ceremony at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), where he distributed degrees to graduating students and urged them to play an active role in the country's development.
Nadda said India has achieved significant progress in recent years and expressed confidence that the younger generation would witness the country becoming a developed nation, or Viksit Bharat, by 2047.
He asked students to take responsibility for shaping the nation's future rather than waiting for change. "With your degrees, new doors of opportunity open before you. Your hard work has brought you here, and you must contribute to society through your respective fields," he said, also acknowledging the role of parents in the students' achievements.
Highlighting developments in education and healthcare, Nadda said the number of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have increased in the country. He added that the number of AIIMS institutions has also expanded significantly in recent years.
UP deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, minister Suresh Khanna, and BJP leader Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary were also present at the event.
