Pilibhit: An FIR was registered on Thursday against four men, in their 20s, for allegedly abducting and gang-raping a 19-year-old woman for three days in Pilibhit district. The accused allegedly kidnapped the survivor from her home while her parents were away attending a religious ceremony in another village.
As per the complaint filed by the survivor’s mother, the accused abducted her daughter on May 16 and held her captive in a room, where they allegedly gang-raped her for three days. One of the accused allegedly dropped the woman back at her home.
Police have sent the survivor for medical examination and launched a search to arrest the accused.
A local SHO said three of the accused are real brothers from Shahjahanpur district, while the fourth belongs to Bisalpur area. “One of the accused, who has relatives in the woman’s village, came in contact with her about a year ago,” he said.
“A case under BNS sections 87 (abduction), 70(1) (gang rape), and 127(3) (wrongful confinement for three days or more) has been filed against the absconding accused,” the SHO said.
