AURANGABAD: The sixth state-level agricultural exhibition Maha Agro 2019 was inaugurated at Krishi Vigyan Kendra on
Paithan
Road on Friday.
The highlight of the 2019 exhibition is the demonstration of crop planted, with the help of new technologies, over 3 acre land of Agriculture Tech School on Paithan Road.
The demonstrations are aimed to inform the farmers on the effects of
climate change
leading to dry conditions and doubling their income. The fields will be open for visitors till December 2.
Marathwada
Sheti Sahaya Mandal organised the four-day event under the guidance of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV), Parbhani, in association with Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) and department of agriculture,
Maharashtra, and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ministry, Government of India.
On the inaugural day, farmers from eight districts of Marathwada were honoured with ‘Jawahirlal Gandhi’ award for the usage of technology and innovation to grow crops.
The mega agriculture exhibition and farmers’ produce market saw a large number of visitors.
