Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Educational activists have claimed that no correct options were provided for two multiple choice questions (MCQs) during the scholarship examination held on Feb 25 for Class V.
"The MCQ related to Sant Tukdoji Maharaj required students to state the original name of the social reformer. As per Balbharati books and other records, his original name was Manik Bandoji Thakur, which was none of the four options provided to students," educational activist Tukaram Saraf said.
Activists have also red-flagged another question based on arranging five words in an alphabetical order and deciding which word would occur in the middle.
It has been claimed that the correct answer was not provided in any of the four options.
"The authorities must give full marks to students who attended the two MCQs concerned. Also, paper setters must be more cautious while setting the question paper," educational activist Tukaram Saraf said.
The Pune-based Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) conducts the scholarship exam for which thousands of students appear across the state.
MSCE chairman Nandkumar Bedse said public feedback on answers to the scholarship examination will be factored in.
"We will release the answer key for the scholarship exam and invite suggestions and objections, if any, from stakeholders. Accurate feedback will be taken into account before deciding the marking scheme for the exam," he told TOI.
