SGPC objects to store using religious symbol on tank tops

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to move court against an online store ‘Redbubble’ for allegedly selling clothes containing Sikh religious symbol ‘Eik Onkar’ (one supreme reality).

AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to move court against an online store ‘Redbubble’ for allegedly selling clothes containing Sikh religious symbol ‘Eik Onkar’ (one supreme reality). SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal said on Wednesday that selling men’s tank top printed with Eik Onkar was highly objectionable and had hurt the Sikh’s religious sentiments.He said he had issued instructions to the department concerned to send a legal notice to the online store.
