TIRUPATI: Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar emphasized that Sanskrit is the language of the divinity and serves as a sacred bridge in our pursuit of spirituality.

Addressing the third convocation of the national Sanskrit university in Tirupati on Friday, he described Sanskrit as an anchor for human civilization in a storm, emphasizing that "In today's whirlwind, Sanskrit offers a unique solace, intellectual rigour, spiritual serenity and a deeper connection to oneself and the world'.

The Vice President conferred gold medals on the meritorious students of the national Sanskrit university during the convocation ceremony.

Earlier, Jagdeep Dhankar along with Dr Sudesh Dhankar, worshipped at the iconic Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala on Friday.

TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy offered the temple's prasadams and a photo momento of Lord Venkateswara to the Vice President of India.
