The cost of the crops damage and loss to infrastructure is estimated at Rs 6,054.29 crore, Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Due to inundation, about 17 teams and two helicopters were deployed for search and rescue operations.

A total of 324 relief camps were opened accommodating about 69,616 people, the CM said.

Several highways, irrigation tanks and canals got breached and damaged at several places in Andhra Pradesh.

Tirupati remains inundated even almost a week after the heavy downpour.
