New industries minister TG Bharat promises Gujarat model industrial progress in AP

TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh minister for industries, commerce and food processing TG Bharat vowed to change the industrial landscape of the state by adopting the Gujarat model in order to make rapid strides in terms of industrial progress in the next five years.

TG Bharat who was rewarded with the plum portfolio in TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu's 4.0 cabinet after securing his maiden electoral victory from the Kurnool assembly constituency in the recent elections, arrived to a tumultuous welcome at his home constituency on Friday.

After the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance secured victories at 12 out of 14 assembly constituencies in the combined Kurnool district, three including TG Bharat, NMD Farooq (Nandyal) and BC Janardhan Reddy (Banaganapalle) were appointed ministers in the Naidu's cabinet.

Speaking to reporters after taking part in a massive rally in Kurnool on Friday, TG Bharat recalled that industrial progress in the state came to a complete standstill during the YSRCP regime due to the commission culture, vendetta politics and policy paralysis.

"Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has given me a great responsibility with a vision for the state to make rapid industrial progress in the next five years. While major industries like the Amaron group exited the state due to the vendetta politics of the Jagan Reddy govt, our CM is a brand who is a synonym for development and progress and we are extremely hopeful that "Brand Naidu" will now attract major industries from across the globe to set shop in AP", TG Bharat exuded confidence.
