Expressing concerns that the Kadapa-Bengaluru railway line works were heading at a snail's pace, Avinash Reddy drew the attention of the minister to the fact that out of the 260 kms length, works have been completed in 28 kms only.

The Kadapa MP also urged the railways minister to consider the proposals sent by the previous YSRCP govt seeking a change in the alignment of the route from Pendlimarri to Puttaparthi.

Pointing out that the Kadapa district is at the centre of the greater Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, Avinash Reddy urged Ashwini Vaishnaw to consider the introduction of a new train service from Proddatur to Bengaluru or to the proposal for the diversion of the Kondaveedu express train Jammalamadugu, Proddatur, Yerraguntla, Muddanur etc, as an immediate relief for the passengers of Kadapa district.
