Jagan accused alliance government involves in diversion politics
VIZIANAGARAM: The former chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Jagan accused the alliance government of engaging in diversion politics instead of fulfilling their election promises. He alleged that the government was attempting to divert attention from its failures by bringing up family issues, such as the Laddu controversy and his own family affairs.
He visited Gurla village in Vizianagaram district on Thursday to console the bereaved families affected by the diarrhoea outbreak. During his visit, he announced financial aid of Rs 2 lakh to each deceased person's family. Jagan emphasized that disputes and differences of opinion are common in any family. The government is diverting the issue by showing his mother and sisters' photos and family issues. "Family disputes are common in any family. Don't you have differences in your families? Focus on public issues and not family affairs. Try to solve public problems. What is the government doing? Does the government provide help to the families of victims?"
Jagan expressed his displeasure over the alleged negligence of the government, claiming that chlorination did not take place in the past five months, leading to the spread of the disease. He also pointed out the discrepancies in the casualty numbers announced by the Collector and the Deputy CM.
Furthermore, Jagan criticized the government for treating diarrhoea patients in schools, where they were given treatment on benches. He expressed anger over the TDP for using his mother and sisters' photos for political gain, claiming that the party resorted to diversion politics once again as the YSRCP exposed their illegal activities and mismanagement.
