Kaushambi police to tighten noose around wanted criminals

Prayagraj: Kaushambi police have launched a week long operation ‘Pehchan’ to tighten noose around wanted criminals, habitual offenders and carrying out physical verification of law breakers in villages, blocks and towns.

Under the operation, cops would be checking details of the criminals enrolled in Yaksha app and take actions accordingly. The police have also prepared a list of 10 most wanted criminals at thana level and constituted teams to conduct physical verification of criminals involved in cattle smuggling & slaughtering, loot, robbery , snatching, drug peddling and hooch manufacturing.

The DSP rank police officials have been entrusted for observation of the operation. A DSP rank official has been asked to conduct the physical verification of a top 10 criminal. The police teams would be visiting the residences of trouble makers and law breakers to verify their identities , collecting other details and update their records on apps. The motive of the operation was to tighten the noose around gangs involved in organised crime and activities of the criminals.
