Doctor found dead inside car in Prayagraj hospital, needle mark on hand
Dr. Kartikeya Srivastava, aged 29, was discovered dead inside his car at SRN hospital in Prayagraj. Police found a syringe and anaesthesia vials in the vehicle. Colleagues noted he had been experiencing depression and leg problems. An autopsy report is awaited to determine the cause of death.
PRAYAGRAJ: A doctor, Kartikeya Srivastava, 29, from Uttarakhand's Kotdwar, was found dead inside his car parked on the campus of SRN hospital late on Saturday.Police found a syringe and two vials of anaesthesia inside the car.Abhishek Bharti, DCP (Ganga Nagar), told TOI: "Kartikeya was spotted by his colleagues inside the car in an unconscious state and was rushed to the ICU," Bharti said, adding that when he could not be revived, his colleagues informed police. There was a needle mark on his hand.The doctor's colleagues told police that he was depressed for some time. A detailed autopsy report is awaited, the DCP said. Kartikeya was working as a junior resident in the orthopaedic department and lived with his parents at a flat in the Georgetown area of Prayagraj. He was seen at the operation theatre on Saturday morning .Colleagues also told police that Kartikeya had a problem in his leg and was not able to stand for long hours.
