Four mobile thieves in Dargah area arrested

Ajmer: Police here on Sunday busted a gang of mobile phone thieves that was active in Ajmer Dargah area and arrested four accused, from whom police recovered 15 expensive mobile phones. Ajmer SP Devendra Kumar Bishnoi said that an informer told police of a gang that stole mobile phones by picking the pockets of devotees coming to the Dargah. A police team scanned CCTV cameras, made inquiries at guest houses, and monitored activities of habitual offenders before identifying and arresting four of the gang, the SP said.The arrested men were identifed as Arshad Khan, 20, Afzal Khan, 33, Gulam Hussein, 22, and Mohammad Salman, 23, all local residents. Police said they were investigating further about the gang.
