1 held for using dummy candidate, FIR lodged

Ajmer: Another case of a dummy candidate came to light when an original candidate came for document verification to Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) on Friday late evening. He was handed over to police and an FIR was lodged in the matter. This is the 12th FIR in the last four months in the matter of morphing photographs and appearing of dummy candidates in several examinations.RPSC Secretary Ramniwas Mehta said that candidate Premraj, resident of Pipar city of Jodhpur district came to verify his documents at RPSC on Friday, and it was found that his photograph was tampered and in his place, a dummy candidate appeared in the senior teacher (Sanskrit education) examination, 2022. The general knowledge and education psychology papers of senior teacher (Sanskrit education) group B exam was conducted on February 12, 2023 and on February 14 science exam was conducted. Premraj was allotted an examination centre at Jainarayan Vyas Girls’ Senior Secondary School situated at Siwanchi Gate Jodhpur and for science exam, the centre was allotted at Government Naveen Senior Secondary School. The accused had morphed his image and presented a dummy candidate in both the exams. RPSC declared the list of eligible candidates on January 15 this year and called them for document verification.
