Bijaynagar rly stn to have rooftop shopping plaza

AJMER: As part of the railways' Amrit station project, Bijaynagar station in Ajmer division has been selected for an upgrade that will include a shopping 'city centre', rooftop plaza, and commercial premises for private players and banks.

Under the Amrit station project, railways will increase commercial activities at this station to provide better facilities to passengers and opportunities for business as well as increase revenue from this station. The re-development work is estimated to cost Rs 15 crore and 24 lakh. Senior divisional commercial manager Sunil Kumar Mahala said more than 500 railway stations have been identified under the Amrit station project.
