Congress puts up worst ever performance in Gujarat elections

AHMEDABAD: After a spirited show by winning 77 seats in 2017, the Congress was on the verge of political insignificance in Gujarat as it recorded its lowest-ever tally of 17 seats.


The AAP inflicted serious damage to the party on several seats.

The victories of veterans like Arjun Modhwadia, Tushar Chaudhary, Jignesh Mevani and Amit Chavda were hardly any solace.

The party lost deposits in 41 seats.
