City gets 3mm of rain

AHMEDABAD: The city on Sunday received 3mm of rainfall, primarily in the eastern parts. Western areas primarily remained dry except for occasional drizzle, Naroda received 40mm of rain, followed by 28mm in Nikol, and 13mm in Odhav, among others.

The weather in the city may remain cloudy on Monday with occasional rain, indicated forecast. Heavy rains are likely in Banaskantha and Sabarkantha on Monday and in Narmada and Tapi on Tuesday.

All other districts may experience light thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind, indicated the forecast. The weather change is due to two cyclonic circulations in Maharashtra and South Gujarat regions. Talukas in Narmada, Rajkot and Bharuch recorded more than 50mm rainfall.
