15k seats still vacant in paramedical courses

Ahmedabad: As many as 15,808 seats remain vacant in paramedical courses such as general nursing and midwifery (GNM), auxiliary nurse and midwife (ANM), prosthetics, BSc in nursing, and naturopathy, announced the admission committee for Gujarat professional nursing and allied medical educational courses (GPNAMEC) on Wednesday. Students who have been allotted seats in the second round must pay their tuition fees by September 22 and get their documents verified by September 23 to confirm their admissions. TNN

Nurses call for stir over vacant posts

The GMCH Nurses Welfare Association in Chandigarh plans to protest against the lack of filling vacant nursing posts and the absence of promotional positions. LG nod to fill vacant seats for law courses at IP Univ

Lieutenant governor VK Saxena has approved IP University's decision to admit students to its law programs based on their aggregate score in three subjects in the common entrance test. However, Saxena expressed concern about the delay in seeking approval, causing inconvenience to students. The admissions will be based on scores in English, legal studies, and general test in CUET, after exhausting the merit list of the common law admission test. The LG advised timely processing of such proposals in the future. The Delhi government accused the LG of trying to take credit for its initiative.
