Dharmendra Kumar

alias Dharmendra Chaudhary, a popular mathematics teacher in the city, was booked in Gwalior under IPC sections 120B (Punishment of criminal conspiracy), 419 (Punishment for cheating by personation), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (Forgery of valuable security, will, etc) and 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating) for allegedly appearing as solver for mathematics paper for an engineering aspirant in 2013.

According to sources, in 2013-14 Dharmendra was arrested for impersonation and sent to jail, but he was granted bail after he spent nearly two months. Later, in 2015 when Supreme Court handed over all the cases related to Vyapam scam to CBI, sleuths interrogated Dharmendra and filed chargesheet against him in special magistrate of Vyapam case at Gwalior.

Another source claimed, “After forensic analysis of the questioned documents, CFSL expert opined that handwriting & signatures of impersonator matched with the same available on the answer sheet and cover page of question booklet. The expert of CFSL also opined that the handwriting of the actual candidate did not match with the same available on the answersheet and cover page of question booklet of the written examination. It was clear that the solver (Dharmendra Kumar) had impersonated in place of the original candidate in the written examination.”

"At least three notices were sent by court, asking him to appear for trial but he never showed up,” claimed source.

Last week chief judicial magistrate of CBI court Gwalior issued an arrest warrant against Dharmendra.
