Super-speciality hosp in Tripura soon: Saha

Agartala: Chief minister Manik Saha has emphasized his govt’s commitment to maintaining high-quality healthcare facilities during the inauguration of the Mukhyamantri Sustho Saishob Sustho Kishore Ahiyan (MSSSKA 7.0) in Dhalai district. He announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art super-speciality hospital, for which the tender process has already begun.Acknowledging the challenges faced by Dhalai district, Saha mentioned that the govt is actively working to address these issues, with approximately 15% of the state budget allocated to the aspirational district. He elaborated on the primary goal of MSSSKA, which is to provide medical support to children and adolescents aged 0 to 19 years who are affected by diarrhoea, worm infestations, and anemia, by supplying them with necessary medications.This year’s initiative also includes the treatment of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

Special chief secretary visits Gurla to probe diarrhoea outbreak

Senior IAS officer K Vijayanand visited Gurla village to investigate multiple diarrhoea-related deaths. Meeting with district officials, he reviewed water contamination, sanitation, and medical responses. Bacterial contamination in drinking water was confirmed. Concerns included open defecation and inadequate toilets. Vijayanand emphasized regular chlorination, public awareness, and hygiene to prevent future outbreaks.

Govt to allocate land for material collection facilities

In a recent meeting, the cabinet decided to allocate government land for building material collection facilities across local self-government bodies in Kerala. Moreover, it approved the waiver of stamp duty and registration fees for Wayanad landslide survivors and granted land ceiling relaxation for a hospital in Ernakulam. Additionally, the launch of the 'Ente Keralam' portal was greenlit.

Delhi govt to provide monthly Rs 5k assistance to specially abled persons with high needs

Delhi government will provide Rs 5,000 monthly to disabled persons with over 60% disability, aiming to assist around 9,500-10,000 individuals. Announced by Social Welfare Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, the scheme marks the first substantial state aid for high special needs individuals. Registration and implementation are slated to begin in one month.
