Tripura patient jumps to death

AGARTALA: A 31-year-old Covid patient died by jumping off the third floor of

Agartala

Govt Medical College (AGMC) hospital building in

Tripura

on Saturday night, police said on Saturday.

According to reports, the victim, a resident of

Muhuripur

village in

South Tripura district

, was admitted to the super-speciality hospital here on July 30 after he allegedly consuming poison. He had tested positive for Covid-19 before being admitted to hospital, sources said.

“Preliminary probe suggests that the man was suffering from depression and that he had twice attempted suicide earlier,” said a police officer.
