Centre to sanction 2800cr for Tripura

Agartala: The Union ministry of road transport and highways has agreed in principle to sanction projects worth Rs 2800 crore to improve Tripura’s economy and communication infrastructure. This was decided at a meeting between Tripura CM Manik Saha and Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Monday, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.

Movement along Bangladesh border in Tripura prohibited

West Tripura officials have imposed an evening curfew along a 500-meter stretch of the India-Bangladesh border in response to increased illegal crossings and anti-Indian activities from Bangladesh. Public movement is restricted between 8 pm and 5 am until December 19. Security forces and essential service providers are exempt from the restrictions. Violators face prosecution.
