Life-like learning experiences
What I’d like to see more of is the combination of advances in AI and VR/AR to create life-like learning experiences. AI can simulate dynamic, real-world scenarios, while VR/AR provides immersive, sensory-rich environments for these simulations. Some examples include:
- An immersive practice of presentation skills where life-like avatars with various behaviours serve as a virtual audience for presentation rehearsal. This provides an ideal opportunity to fine-tune public speaking skills or speaking to stakeholders or customers.
- A sales meeting practice scenario where a sales professional can practise their negotiation and persuasion techniques with avatars who act like real customers. This allows sales professionals to hone their skills in a risk free setting.
- An AR setting where AI is used to introduce faults into physical devices, challenging trainees to detect and repair the faults. This helps technicians and engineers develop problemsolving skills while working on real-world equipment.
