The device, equipped with the PhonePe POS App, supports various transaction methods such as tap, swipe, dip, and interoperable dynamic QR codes, providing merchants with a simple and seamless settlement experience.

Built on the Android platform, the POS device offers convenience to customers at the counter, table, delivery location, or anywhere with cellular coverage. The device prioritizes reliability and security and has a PCI-PTS 6 certification, which safeguards merchant and consumer data.

With features like automatic batch closure and unified reconciliation, the device is a comprehensive solution for account settlement, streamlining merchant operations. The device is available at a nominal monthly rental fee.

The PhonePe POS device has a touchscreen display and a built-in printer for on-the-spot receipt printing. It also offers WiFi and 4G connectivity through a sim-card.

Vivek Lohcheb, Head of Offline Business at PhonePe said by accepting credit and debit transactions, merchants can anticipate an increase in their average ticket size, driving overall business growth. "With PhonePe's extensive network of over 3.5 crore merchants nationwide, our goal is to expand this solution across India and deploy 150,000 devices by next year," he said.
