Two prominent senior executives have resigned from Hero MotoCorp, adding to the challenges faced by India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer by volume. The exiting executives are Reema Jain, who served as chief information and digital officer and executive management team member, alongside Sameer Pande, who held the position of HR head for talent management.
"Misrepresenting normal workforce shifts as anything else is misleading and does not reflect the reality of our operations. Individual people movements or exits are a part of operations in a large, dynamic organization like ours. Other than statutory requirements, Hero MotoCorp does not comment on individual people movements," stated the company's spokesperson.
Sources familiar with the situation confirm these resignations occurred this week. These departures follow a month after the company's townhall, as reported by ET in its February 14 edition. During last month's town hall addressing 5,000-plus employees globally, Munjal stated, "I have my eyes on each one of you," clearly indicating zero tolerance for underperformance.
These developments emerge shortly after Hero MotoCorp's chief executive officer, Niranjan Gupta and chief business officer, Ranjivjit Singh, left the organisation in February.
In recent developments, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India displaced Hero MotoCorp from its top position last month. Additionally, the company's total two-wheeler sales (including exports and electric vehicles) fell below TVS Motor Co, relegating it to third position for the first time.
