'Asset right': ITC Hotels signs two more ‘Storii’ resorts in Rajasthan

NEW DELHI: Taking the “asset right” strategy, hospitality major ITC Hotel Group is now rapidly adding properties. On Thursday, its announced the signing of two Storii resorts in Rajasthan that are expected to open early next year — one at Jaipur and the other in Jawai. Including the recent signing of Storii Jaisalmer, Brand Storii will now have three properties in Rajasthan.
ITC Hotels chief executive Anil Chadha: “Brand Storii is a diverse collection of properties that tell their own unique story. From Portuguese abodes, wellness retreats and an erstwhile castle! Staying true to the nature of the brand, Storii Jaipur and Storii Jawai are set to weave their own stories for our guests through their offerings. The location of the two resorts is perfect for travellers looking to experience the destination while also exploring culture reminiscent of a glorious heritage.”
Thakur Shri Mansingh Kanota, Castle Kanota owner, said: “Built in 1872, Castle Kanota was the intended official family residence for the Kanota family. We have since hosted many a dignitary and are now in the process of expanding the property into a heritage resort. As the needs of the typical traveler change towards experiential, we trust ITC Hotels to bring its expertise and nuanced hospitality to this property with brand Storii.”
Storii Jaipur in the 150-year-old castle-style resort on Jaipur-Agra road will have 52 rooms and suites. Storii Jawai, about two-hour drive from Udaipur, will have 15 rooms and suites. Jawai is named after a river midway between Jodhpur and Udaipur.

ITC Hotel Group currently has over 130 hotels with over 12,000 keys across 80 destinations in the country.
