What are string protectors Each year, several incidents are reported during the Independence Day festivities, underscoring the need for preventive measures. In response, the Gujarat Police have rolled out an innovative solution: ‘string protectors’ for two-wheelers. These are attached to the handlebars of motorcycles and scooters. They work by winding up any kite string that comes into contact with them, thereby preventing it from wrapping around the riders and causing fatal injuries such as cuts on faces and necks of the riders.
It appears that the police are distributing these string protectors free of charge at various locations across the state. This proactive approach allows residents to enjoy the festivities without compromising on safety.
