A tragic accident in Mumbai yesterday resulted in the death of a woman who was recording a video near a steep incline. The incident took place near Dutt Dham Temple and involved a Toyota Etios car that fell into a 300-foot pit. The tragic incident was recorded on camera and has since been doing rounds on social media.
In the viral video, the woman is seen reversing the car. As she approached the edge of the cliff, she appeared to panic and pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. The person recording the video instructed her to use the clutch to cut off power to the wheels, but it was too late.
The car plunged into the 300-foot pit, tragically killing the woman. There are videos of the mangled car that was rescued from the pit, showing the car in a completely dismantled state. Upon recovery, the youngster was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
The woman who died in the accident has been identified as 23-year-old Shweta Deepak Surwase. She and her friend had traveled from Aurangabad to Sulibhanjan Hills on Monday afternoon. Yet again, shooting videos for social media in vehicles has ended in another loss of life. As per police, the woman wasn’t a trained driver. This incident is a stark reminder on how risky shooting social media content on such locations can turn out to be - in just a matter of moments.
