Simple Ultra vs Ola S1 X+ e-scooters battle! Pricing, range & more compared
India’s electric scooter space is heating up with new launches pushing the boundaries of range and performance. The latest entrant, the Simple Ultra from Simple Energy, goes head-to-head with the newly introduced S1 X+ 5.2 kWh from Ola Electric. Here’s a closer look at how these two long-range electric scooters stack up in terms of pricing, range and performance.
The Simple Ultra has been launched at a price of Rs 2.35 lakh, ex-showroom. The scooter is already available for purchase, with test rides and deliveries underway across multiple cities.
In contrast, the Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh variant has been introduced at an introductory price of Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom. However, this price was valid only for a limited period until April 15, 2026, after which a price revision is expected.
Range is where both scooters make a strong case, but the Simple Ultra clearly leads on paper. It comes equipped with a 6.5 kWh battery pack and claims an IDC range of 400 km, making it one of the longest-range electric scooters in India right now. The Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh, on the other hand, offers a claimed IDC range of 320 km, which is still impressive and among the highest in its segment.
Performance is another area where these scooters take slightly different approaches. The Simple Ultra can hit a top speed of 115 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds. Meanwhile, the Ola S1 X+ is powered by an 11 kW mid-drive motor and pushes the top speed higher to 125 kmph.
On the features front, the Simple Ultra offers four levels of traction control, a relatively rare feature in this segment, along with a seven-inch digital display handling ride data and functions. The Ola S1 X+ counters with a 4.3-inch LCD display anf Brake-by-Wire technology. A key differentiator for Ola is its use of the indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell.
