Oben Electric teases new e-motorcycle, launch soon: What to expect
Oben Electric has teased its upcoming electric motorcycle, which is set to debut on April 30, 2026. The Bengaluru-based manufacturer will reveal full specifications, pricing and availability details at the launch event, where bookings are also expected to open.
The teaser offers a first look at the motorcycle’s front design. Oben seems to be moving away from the round, neo-retro headlamp seen on the Rorr lineup. This image points towards a sharper, more aggressive streetfighter-style design. You can see a V-shaped LED DRL placed on top. It looks wide and sharp.
Below it sits a single projector headlamp in the centre. This kind of setup is now common on sporty naked bikes. There is no large fairing or windscreen, which suggests this will be a proper naked electric motorcycle with a strong, forward-leaning stance.
While technical details remain under wraps, expectations are that the new motorcycle could build on the company’s existing LFP battery technology. Current Oben models offer up to a 4.4 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of up to 187 km, with a top speed of around 100 kmph.
The upcoming bike is also likely to feature familiar elements such as multiple ride modes, regenerative braking and connected tech. Features like geofencing, USB charging, theft alerts and a unified braking system could continue as well.
