Stella Moto to launch Buzz electric scooter in November: Details

Stella Moto, backed by the Jaidka Group, today officially announced its entry into the electric two-wheeler space. The company is planning to launch the Buzz electric scooter in the Indian market next month.

The Bengaluru-based Jaidka Group has already been in the EV space with electric three-wheelers in the Passenger and Cargo (L3) segments. Stella Moto shall announce its high-speed electric scooters and bikes in the coming months, the company said in an official statement. Further, it added, these electric vehicles will be produced at its manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

In an official release, the company states that it aims to design well-engineered electric two-wheelers and 100% Indian L5 electric vehicles at affordable prices. The company already has two manufacturing units at Howrah in West Bengal and at Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with manufacturing capabilities of 20,000 vehicles per annum.

Stella Moto, the part of Jaidka Group has a strong market presence in multiple businesses, including Transport, Automobile and Logistics segments across India. The company plans to achieve 100% localization by 2024.

Moreover, Stella intends to open its retail outlets in major cities and has already appointed 55 authorized dealers, with the goal of appointing 200 in the coming year, says the official release. Stella said it plans to close the financial year 2023 with sales of approximately 10,000+ vehicles.
