Tata Nexon turbo CNG: Variant-wise features with price explained
Tata Motors recently launched the Tata Nexon CNG in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the petrol models are priced at 7.99 lakh, and the CNG model demands Rs 1 lakh. Interested customers can book the car online or by visiting their nearest dealership and the deliveries are expected to begin soon.
The Nexon CNG SUV is available in eight variants - Smart (O), Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, and Fearless+ S. Compared to regular Nexon modes, the CNG model gets additional features and enhancements but remains the same in terms of exterior design. The CNG model also gets several first-in-segment features too. In this article, let’s take a look at variant-wise features of the Nexon CNG.
Tata Nexon CNG Smart: Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Smart is the entry-level variant of the Nexon CNG and gets features such as LED headlamps with DRLs, LED tail-lamps, Illuminated steering wheel logo, front power windows and Hill-Hold Control.
Tata Nexon CNG Smart +: Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom)
Next comes in Smart + and gets features such as 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with wired Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, shark fin antenna, steering mounted controls, all four power windows and electrically adjustable ORVMs. There’s also Smart + S priced at 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), it additionally gets auto headlamps, an electric sunroof and rain-sensing wipers.
Tata Nexon CNG Pure: Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom)
Next comes in Pure variant, it additionally gets Bi-function LED headlamps, roof rails, rear AC vents, touch-based HVAC controls, a 4.0-inch digital driver’s display and voice commands. Next comes in Pure S priced at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and it gets auto headlamps, an electric sunroof and rain-sensing wipers.
Tata Nexon CNG Creative: Rs 11.69 lakh (ex-showroom)
Next comes in Creative trim and features sequential LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, 4 speakers with 2 tweeters, 7.0-inch digital cluster, auto climate control, push-button start/stop, eight adjustable driver’s seat, rear wiper with washer, rearview camera and TPMS. There’s Creative Plus trim priced at Rs 12.19 lakh (ex-showroom). It additionally gets a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, auto dimming IRVM, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.
Tata Nexon CNG Fearless +: Rs 14.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
Next comes in top-of-the-line Fearless +, it gets a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, 10.25-inch digital cluster, 4 speakers with 4 tweeters, air purifier, welcome/goodbye function for LED DRLs, ventilated front seats, air purifier, wireless charger, fog lamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leatherette seats and height adjustable co-drivers seat.
Talking about the powertrain, the Nexon CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine that puts out 100hp of power and 170Nm of torque. In comparison, the petrol engine puts out 20hp more but the torque figure is the same. It comes paired with a manual gearbox and it also gets dual-cylinder technology to save space.
